Twilight Broadcast: The Band

Twilight Broadcast is the result of two friends writing songs together over the course of nine years. Nick Drozdowicz and Drew Thomas grew up writing and playing in Madison, WI. They take their musical cues from a diverse variety of sources including Radiohead, The Roots, John Mayer, TV on the Radio, and local Austin favorite, Dan Dyer to name a few. In the summer of 2006, after six years of developing their musical talents, Nick and Drew decided to uproot from Madison, WI and moved to Austin, TX.  They connected shortly thereafter with drummer Jason (D.O.C.) Cosby and Bassist Chris (Spankey) Alexander. Jason grew up in Austin, TX, playing drums, keys and singing in the baptist church.  As a result, he's a well rounded musician with a heavy foot and steady time.  He draws inspiration from a large pool of sources including various gospel acts and Prince. Chris hails from Northern Virginia and is primarily self-taught. Despite a lack of formal training, Chris dove head first into the live music scene of nearby Washington D.C. He played with all sorts of acts, mastering everything from Zeppelin to Motown to the blues, all the while studying and transcribing Jaco Pastorius. Chris came out the other side oozing feel-good grooves and tasteful fills from his now nimble fingers.

Twilight Broadcast is still going strong and promoting their first full-length album entitled “Variety Show”.  Twilight Broadcast crafts thoughtful songs presented with equal measures of musicianship and personality.  Bored by too much of any one thing, they are stylistically erratic and as a result, consistently engaging.  Yet, amidst their musical ADD, they have still managed to carve out a large and unique sound; check out their funky-pop-jazz-rock...you'll love what you hear.
